Hi, I’m Joseph and I love to run
Just a humble runner who is just trying to be the best version of himself, Actively trying to pursue his Abbott 6th Star Journey.
Early on

I ran my first 10km at 13 years old, although I wasn’t fast I ran on and off for 30 years until 2019 where I committed to run my first Marathon the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2020. While it was a slog to complete at 6:33 hour slog to complete it, it was the first of many and one of the key moments in my life.
After this moment, I went on to set new personal bests and compete in over 18 marathons.
Current

My running journey has been shaped by the pursuit of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. Each race has represented more than a finish line — it has been a marker of discipline, family support, travel, resilience and personal growth.
⭐ Boston — 2022
⭐ New York — 2022
⭐ Chicago — 2023
⭐ London — 2024
⭐ Tokyo — 2025
⭐ Berlin — 2025
After completing the original six-star journey, the next chapter is about continuing to chase big goals, new experiences and meaningful races around the world.
Current Goal: Cape Town 2026

Current Goal: Cape Town 2026
My next major race is the 2026 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on May 24, 2026.
Cape Town is one of the most exciting marathons in the world and is currently part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors candidacy process. For me, Cape Town represents the next stage of the journey: continuing to run, travel, grow and stay connected to the global running community.
Cape Town is more than another marathon. It is a chance to run on a new continent, experience one of the world’s great cities, and be part of a race that could become an even bigger part of marathon history.
Upcoming Goal: Sydney 2026
After Cape Town, my next major goal is the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon on August 30, 2026.
Sydney is now part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, officially joining the series as the seventh Major, with its first Major edition held in 2025. The 2026 race is scheduled for August 30, 2026.
For me, Sydney represents the next step after completing the original six-star journey. It is a chance to keep building on the work, keep chasing new goals, and continue the pursuit of the expanded global marathon journey.

Why I Run
I run because it keeps me honest.
Running has taught me that progress is rarely instant. You show up, stack the work, endure the hard days, and trust that the effort will eventually show itself.
It has helped me become a better father, leader and person. It has given me space to think, goals to chase, and a community that continues to inspire me.
The medals are meaningful, but the real reward is the person you become along the way.
My Team
None of this happens alone.
Behind every race is family, friends, training partners and people who make the journey possible. Their support is what allows me to keep chasing big goals, whether that is another marathon, another continent, or another finish line I once thought was out of reach.
